Monster Madness Halloween Door and Kids Playdate

Today I wanted to have some of Maddie's friends over for a Halloween play date. Unfortunately no one was available, so we had some spooky fun together anyway. First we had lunch after getting home from the grocery store. We made Mummy Dogs and Banana Ghosts I found on Pintrest. Check out my Pins for some Scary Treats.

While Maddie was finishing her lunch I started making our Monster Door Decorations.

MONSTER MADNESS DOOR

To make this Monster door you will need:

2 Pieces Black Cardstock
2 Pieces White Cardstock
1 Piece Green Cardstock
Blue Painters Tape
Scotch Tape
Martha Stewart Circle Cutter
Cutting Mat

For the Eyes we cut out an 8" circle from each piece of White Cardstock. We then cut out (2) 5" circles from our Green Cardstock, and then (2) 4" circles from our Black Cardstock. We then layered them and attached them from largest to smallest. This is a good activity for the little ones to determine size and difference.

For the Mouth we cut out a 2"x4" rectangle from the left over Black Cardstock and then cut triangles out of the left over white Cardstock. We attached the triangles at one of the longer edge and taped on the back.

For the Eyebrows we cut out (2) 1.5"x6" from our Black Cardstock.

For the scar we used a 10"x1.5" Strip and then cut out (8) 3.5"x 0.25" strips and affixed them to the back.

We then used painters tape to affix the pieces to our door and added the hair at the top.

Tomorrow I will post some fun science projects we did today!

Please Share it! :)
